Prajakta Koli’s Fiancé Vrishank Khanal Embraces Nepalese Roots at Sangeet

On Tuesday morning, the ‘Mismatched’ actress shared glimpses from her sangeet night, where she looked breathtaking in a traditional paithani saree. What made it even more special was that the saree belonged to her mother. She went for a classic “Marathi mulgi” look, wearing green glass bangles, a traditional nose ring (nath), and a signature Marathi Chandrakor bindi.

While Prajakta’s look was a tribute to her Maharashtrian roots, her fiancé, Vrishank Khanal, found a beautiful way to honor his Nepalese heritage. He wore a sleek black bandhgala, but what truly stood out was a small yet meaningful brooch on his outfit. The brooch featured two curved knives, known as khukuri, which hold deep cultural significance in Nepal. More than just weapons or tools, khukuris represent bravery, tradition, and identity, especially for the legendary Gorkha soldiers, who are known worldwide for their courage.

Fans loved how both Prajakta and Vrishank celebrated their roots in their own unique ways. Their wedding is just around the corner, and everyone is eagerly waiting to see the bride’s final look. Until then, Prajakta has been keeping everyone excited by sharing pictures from all her pre-wedding ceremonies, including the mehendi and haldi functions.

For the mehendi ceremony, the couple chose outfits designed by Anita Dongre. Prajakta looked gorgeous in a deep green embroidered lehenga, while Vrishank complemented her in a mint-green Nehru jacket over a matching kurta and white trousers.

Their haldi ceremony was filled with love and laughter. Prajakta wore a delicate white and gold sharara with floral jewelry that made her look radiant. Vrishank matched her perfectly in an ivory embroidered kurta, making them look like a dream couple.

As for their love story, it all began through a mutual friend. Their first conversations happened over BBM, and their first meeting took place at a friend’s Ganpati Puja. That’s when Vrishank gathered the courage to ask Prajakta out, and the rest, as they say, is history!
