Musandam Schools Transition to Online Learning Due to Rain Forecast

The Ministry of Education has declared that all government, private, and international schools in Musandam Governorate will transition to online learning tomorrow, Tuesday, 16 December 2025. This cautionary measure is in response to heavy rain predictions, with some areas expecting up to 60 millimeters starting early morning. The directive comes after alerts from the National Centre for Emergency Management to ensure the safety of students and staff during this severe weather.

By moving to virtual classes, students can continue their education while avoiding unsafe travel conditions. School officials are required to prepare all students and teachers for remote learning to ensure continuity of lessons from home.

Authorities have advised Musandam residents to remain vigilant, keep track of weather updates, and implement safety measures during the downpour. Areas such as roads and low-lying regions may suffer from water accumulation, necessitating caution outdoors.

The Ministry has made it clear that the decision affects all school categories, emphasizing the critical nature of safety amid adverse weather. Parents and guardians are encouraged to assist students in participating in online classes and adhering to school guidelines.
