Dubai, UAE – 16 September 2025: Majid Al Futtaim, a leading name in shopping malls, retail, and leisure across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, in collaboration with Lisa Scott-Lee and Johnny Shentall-Lee, proudly announces the soft launch of the New Covent Garden Theatre, Dubai at Mall of the Emirates. This premier cultural and entertainment destination is designed to elevate Dubai’s global position in arts and culture, offering residents and visitors a unique, all-encompassing creative experience.
The venue features a state-of-the-art 600-seater theatre, alongside 10 versatile dance and rehearsal studios, a holistic yoga and Pilates space, a Black Box Theatre, and a vibrant café with al fresco dining. Set to open fully this winter, the theatre will host a dynamic calendar of live performances including West End musicals, Arabic plays, ballet, comedy, opera, family shows, and concerts, showcasing both international stars and local talent. Tickets are available via Platinumlist, ensuring easy access to world-class performances.
A standout feature of this cultural hub is Pineapple Dubai, the first international branch of London’s iconic Pineapple Dance Studios, founded by Debbie Moore OBE. The studio, launched in partnership with Lisa Scott-Lee, offers an extensive array of dance classes for all ages and skill levels. Classes can be booked through the Classcard app, creating a vibrant community of dance enthusiasts and performing arts lovers.
