Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi-based Modon Holding P.S.C (“Modon”) has announced a strategic investment in Wellington Lifestyle Partners (“WLP”), joining a consortium of investors to advance a landmark ultra-luxury lifestyle destination in Wellington, Palm Beach County, Florida.
This strategic partnership will elevate the internationally renowned Wellington International equestrian showgrounds and support the creation of a multi-asset luxury development, including high-end residences, a boutique hotel, a lifestyle marketplace, and a championship golf course. This marks Modon’s first direct investment in a U.S.-based equestrian-led development and expands its global footprint in integrated lifestyle and hospitality projects.
The investment enables Modon to collaborate with WLP’s existing operators and investors in advancing a comprehensive portfolio of world-class lifestyle and sports destinations. Key assets include:
Wellington International Showgrounds: A global equestrian hub hosting premier competitions.
The Wanderers Club: A private, family-oriented country club with golf, tennis, swimming, and fine dining facilities.
The Wellington: A private residential club with 253 luxury homes, set to open in 2028, featuring a championship-level golf course designed by David McLay Kidd.
Lifestyle Marketplace: A planned mixed-use destination with boutique hotel, residences, retail, offices, and restaurants.
Under a strategic licensing agreement, Modon will leverage Wellington International’s brand and intellectual property across key international markets, further supporting the company’s expansion into future lifestyle and community destinations. As part of this collaboration, Modon will also serve as a premier sponsor of the Winter Equestrian Festival and Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), attracting over 250,000 spectators and exhibitors annually.
His Excellency Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Modon Holding, said:
"This investment exemplifies Modon’s commitment to world-class destination development. Wellington Lifestyle Partners brings together expertise in real estate, equestrian sports, hospitality, and community-led projects, allowing us to extend our global reach while delivering sustainable and innovative lifestyle experiences."
Bill O’Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, added:
"Partnering with Wellington Lifestyle Partners aligns perfectly with Modon’s vision to create integrated lifestyle destinations. This collaboration provides an opportunity to exchange best practices in design, operations, and master planning while complementing our existing projects in Hudayriyat Island, Ras El Hekma, and La Zagaleta."
Mark Bellissimo, Founder of Wellington Lifestyle Partners, commented:
"Modon’s entry strengthens our collective expertise in developing a world-class equestrian lifestyle destination. Together with Doug McMahon, NEXUS, and CEO Murray Kessler, we are set to redefine luxury, community, and sporting excellence in Wellington."
Through this investment, Modon reinforces its position as a global leader in large-scale, high-value real estate and lifestyle developments, continuing its mission to deliver transformative destinations that combine innovation, cultural connection, and premium living experiences.
