Dubai Health, in collaboration with Informa Markets, hosted a special gala dinner at the Dubai World Trade Centre to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress. His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, graced the occasion, marking an important milestone in the healthcare sector.

The dinner was attended by the top officials from the Dubai government, members of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, leaders from healthcare companies, and representatives from Informa. The event took time to reflect on the success and growth of Arab Health since its inception in 1975, highlighting its role in enhancing healthcare across the years.

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), expressed gratitude and praised the event’s role. He said, "Arab Health has grown over five decades into a global stage for collaboration and sharing knowledge. The exhibition has played a big part in transforming Dubai’s healthcare system." Dr. Sharif also noted that the success of Arab Health is a direct result of the vision of the UAE’s leadership, which has always placed health and wellbeing at the forefront. He added, "We now have the chance to work together to find solutions that improve health around the world. Our shared goal is to improve healthcare outcomes and move forward in a way that benefits humanity."

Peter Hall, President of Middle East, India, Turkey, and Africa at Informa Markets, also spoke at the event, highlighting the significance of the Arab Health exhibition. "We are proud to celebrate this milestone and continue our collaboration with Dubai Health," he said. "Arab Health is a key global event where medical professionals, companies, and decision-makers meet every year to showcase the latest in healthcare technologies." He also shared his enthusiasm about the exhibition’s future growth, as it enters a new chapter with the name change to ‘World Health Expo Dubai (WHX Dubai)’ in its next edition, which will be held at Expo Dubai.

The gala dinner included entertainment showcasing Emirati talent. Special souvenirs designed by Emirati artist Hessa Alghandi were given as gifts, reflecting the rich culture of the UAE. The evening's musical performances included a piano recital by Ahmed Al Hashimi, an Emirati artist on the autism spectrum, and an oud performance by Shamsa Al Jasmi. The delicious menu featured dishes from Emirati chefs Saud Al Matrooshi and Arwa Lootah, prepared in partnership with the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel.

The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is an important event held annually in Dubai, where healthcare professionals from around the world gather to discuss the latest innovations in the field. The 50th edition of Arab Health, themed ‘Where the World of Healthcare Meets,’ is expected to attract over 60,000 visitors, with more than 40 international pavilions and over 3,800 exhibitors from 180 countries.

This year's Arab Health is a turning point in the health sector, celebrating five decades of progress while looking forward to continued growth and innovation. With new developments and renewed vision, the event aims to continue its role in advancing healthcare worldwide.
