Dubai is preparing to host a major financial event called the MENA Capital Market Summit on May 6 and 7, 2025 at Madinat Jumeirah. This event is part of Dubai’s big plan to become one of the top four financial centers in the world.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE, said that this summit will help Dubai grow as a strong financial center. It will also help bring together people who make big financial decisions, such as investors, business leaders, government officials, and technology experts.

The event is hosted by the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and is expected to bring in around 1,500 participants. These include businesses, financial leaders, and decision-makers from across the globe. The summit has become an important place for sharing ideas, making new partnerships, and learning how to make financial markets stronger.

Like last year, big international banks will support the event. Bank of America, Citi Group, Emirates NBD, and HSBC will be among the top sponsors. Other banks, financial groups, and government organizations will also take part.

The 2025 summit will focus on many exciting topics, such as:

  • How AI (Artificial Intelligence) and technology are changing financial markets
  • Trends in IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) and chances for fast-growing companies
  • Money movement between countries
  • The growing role of everyday people (retail investors) in the market
  • How private markets are changing

There will be keynote speeches, panel discussions, and fireside chats where experts will talk about current investment trends, new rules, and what the future might look like for finance.

Hamed Ali, CEO of both DFM and Nasdaq Dubai, said that this summit has become a key place for experts from around the world to meet and talk about Dubai’s future as a leading financial center. He shared that in 2024 alone, AED 10.48 billion was raised through IPOs in Dubai, showing strong growth. Also, Dubai’s stock market now has 1.2 million investors from over 200 countries, showing global trust in Dubai’s market.

Hamed Ali also said that this year’s summit will be extra special because the world’s financial markets are changing quickly. This makes the summit a great place for top banks, leading companies, global investors, and industry experts to talk about what’s coming next. He’s especially excited to hear new ideas that will help shape the future of finance in Dubai and beyond.

The summit will have a carefully planned schedule and many important speakers. It will be a great chance to learn about new market opportunities, innovations, and where the world of finance is heading next. Most importantly, it will help Dubai grow even stronger as a global financial leader.
