One of the important projects discussed was TA’ZIZ, ADNOC’s joint venture with ADQ. TA’ZIZ recently awarded a contract to build the UAE’s first methanol plant. Methanol is seen as a cleaner alternative to traditional fuels like coal and diesel, making it a key energy source for the future.
His Highness was also updated on ADNOC’s newly launched international investment company, XRG. This company aims to invest in energy projects around the world, helping ADNOC grow internationally and meet the rising demand for energy worldwide.
Sheikh Khaled praised ADNOC’s efforts to set high standards for sustainable growth and low-carbon energy production. He highlighted the importance of working on joint projects that reduce carbon emissions and diversify energy sources. He also stressed the need for advanced technology and eco-friendly solutions to support the UAE’s sustainability goals.
His Highness also spoke about the upcoming Make it in the Emirates forum, which will take place in Abu Dhabi in May 2025. He pointed out ADNOC’s efforts to boost local manufacturing and increase the use of UAE-made goods and services. The forum will be an opportunity for investors and businesses to explore investment options in the UAE’s growing industrial sector. ADNOC’s In-Country Value program continues to help local and international companies set up manufacturing operations in the UAE.
Another key topic discussed was ADNOC’s ongoing efforts to support its employees, strengthen family values, and promote UAE National Identity. His Highness emphasized the importance of creating a positive and inclusive work environment where national talent can grow and contribute to the country’s development and progress.
The meeting was attended by several top officials, including:
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO
His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State
His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company
