Kerala Airport Faces Brief Emergency Due to Bomb Threat on Air India Flight

A full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport today following a bomb threat on an Air India flight arriving from Mumbai. The threat was reported by the pilot at 7:30 a.m. as the aircraft approached its destination, prompting the airport authorities to declare a full emergency at 7:36 a.m.

The flight, carrying 135 passengers, landed safely at approximately 8:00 a.m. and was immediately moved to an isolation bay to prevent any potential danger. Passengers were evacuated from the aircraft by 8:44 a.m. without incident.

Despite the seriousness of the threat, airport operations were not significantly impacted, and there were no injuries or immediate risks to life reported.
