Moscow — Kaspersky, a global leader in cybersecurity and digital privacy solutions, announced that its flagship consumer product, Kaspersky Premium for Windows, has once again earned the prestigious “Approved” Anti-Phishing certification from AV-Comparatives, a globally recognized independent testing laboratory.
This annual certification recognizes Kaspersky Premium for achieving an impressive 93% phishing URL detection rate with zero false positives, reaffirming the company’s leadership in combating online scams and protecting users from digital deception in an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.
Rising Threat of AI-Driven Phishing Attacks
Phishing continues to be one of the most pervasive and rapidly evolving cyber threats. With the growing use of artificial intelligence by cybercriminals, phishing campaigns have become more sophisticated and harder to detect. Modern attackers now leverage AI to quickly generate convincing fake emails, clone legitimate websites, and even produce deepfake audio and video content that make social engineering attacks more persuasive.
As these attacks become more targeted and complex, robust anti-phishing solutions—powered by adaptive machine learning and AI-based detection models—have become essential for ensuring digital safety.
Outstanding Performance in AV-Comparatives 2025 Evaluation
In the 2025 Anti-Phishing Test, AV-Comparatives evaluated a broad range of consumer security products against more than 200 real-world phishing URLs. To qualify for the “Approved” status, products were required to block at least 85% of phishing attempts without producing false positives on legitimate websites, including sensitive platforms like online banking portals.
Kaspersky Premium not only surpassed this benchmark but also demonstrated exceptional consistency, maintaining its 93% detection rate and zero false positives—the same flawless performance achieved in the 2024 evaluation.
Kaspersky has been participating in AV-Comparatives’ Anti-Phishing tests since 2011, consistently delivering high scores and showcasing its unwavering commitment to improving user protection through advanced research and innovation.
AI at the Core of Kaspersky’s Anti-Phishing Defense
Kaspersky’s excellence in phishing detection is driven by its AI-powered anti-phishing technologies, which combine advanced machine learning algorithms and real-time analysis to identify even the most deceptive threats.
The solution utilizes two complementary AI-driven detection models that continuously learn and adapt to new phishing tactics. These models are trained on millions of real and fraudulent web pages, allowing the system to recognize subtle indicators that distinguish a fake site from a legitimate one.
One of the standout components of Kaspersky’s anti-phishing suite is its OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature, which uses machine vision to analyze images on web pages and identify hidden phishing text embedded within graphics—an increasingly common tactic among cybercriminals.
Every newly detected phishing pattern is added to Kaspersky’s database, improving the system’s accuracy and ensuring rapid adaptation to emerging threats. In 2024 alone, Kaspersky’s consumer solutions blocked more than 67 million phishing attacks, many of which were detected through AI-enhanced analysis.
Expert Insight “Leveraging machine learning in anti-phishing tools fundamentally transforms the way we combat digital deception,” said Vladislav Tushkanov, Group Manager at Kaspersky AI Technology Research Center.
“By enabling our systems to detect threats that are too complex for traditional signature-based methods, we empower users to stay one step ahead of cybercriminals. Our strong performance in AV-Comparatives’ certification underscores the reliability and intelligence of Kaspersky’s cybersecurity ecosystem.”
Recommendations for Users
To ensure comprehensive protection against phishing and other online threats, Kaspersky advises users to adopt the following best practices:
Use multi-layered security solutions such as Kaspersky Premium, which combine AI-based detection, safe browsing, and real-time protection.
Avoid clicking on unknown links in emails, text messages, or social media—even if they appear to come from trusted sources.
Verify website authenticity before entering personal or financial details. Look for HTTPS encryption and check for inconsistencies in URLs.
Enable automatic updates to keep security databases and software current against new threats.
Educate yourself and others about phishing tactics to recognize suspicious behavior online.
