Dubai: The UAE experienced a cool and cloudy Friday morning, with heavy rain reported in parts of Sharjah and Fujairah, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather department has warned that more rainfall is possible today, as convective clouds continue to develop over northern and eastern regions of the country.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, while mist or fog may form during the early morning hours, especially in coastal and inland low-lying areas.
The NCM also highlighted a sharp rise in humidity levels, which may reach up to 90 per cent. This increase in moisture could lead to dense fog or mist in several areas, including Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours.
Motorists have been urged to drive carefully, as low visibility is expected in fog-affected areas.
Temperatures across the UAE remain pleasant, reflecting the winter season. Minimum temperatures are hovering around the mid-15°C range, while daytime highs may reach 26°C. At present, Dubai is around 19°C, with partly cloudy skies.
Although wind speeds could reach up to 35 km/h, sea conditions are expected to stay generally calm, making coastal conditions stable.
Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather alerts and take necessary precautions while traveling.
