Sirsa, Haryana, November 29, 2025 – A disturbing case has emerged from Sikanderpur village where a 25-year-old man has allegedly strangled his mother and her neighbor, according to police reports on Friday. The suspect, identified as Raj Kumar, reportedly discovered his mother, Anguri Devi, 42, in an “inappropriate situation” with the 55-year-old neighbor, Lekh Raj, inside his home.
In the early hours of Friday, after the alleged murders, Raj Kumar drove to the local police station in his pickup truck and surrendered. Authorities state that the suspect confessed to the crimes, claiming he used a piece of cloth to strangle both individuals.
“The suspect revealed that his family had urged his mother to cease her relationship with Lekh Raj; however, she had persisted for over 15 years,” disclosed a senior police official, preferring to remain unnamed.
The bodies were sent for autopsy while Raj Kumar was taken into custody for the double homicide. Investigations are currently underway to clarify the events surrounding this tragic incident.
The shocking nature of these killings has unsettled the residents of Sikanderpur, prompting concerns regarding escalating family disputes leading to such violence. Authorities have pledged that rigorous measures will be taken in this case, emphasizing the urgency in their response.
This incident in Haryana highlights a critical need to tackle family disputes and domestic challenges to prevent them from boiling over into violence. Police are urging the public to remain composed as investigations proceed.
