Dubai, September 26, 2025 – Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in a thrilling Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, securing a spot in the final against India on Sunday.
Chasing 136 runs, Bangladesh struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack and were restricted to 124/9 in their 20 overs. Haris Rauf was the star for Pakistan, claiming 3 wickets for 33 runs and putting the visitors under early pressure.
In response, Pakistan managed 135/8 in 20 overs with valuable contributions from Mohammad Haris, who scored 31 off 23 balls, and Mohammad Nawaz, who added 25 off 15 balls. Saim Ayub played a key role by dismissing Bangladesh skipper Jaker Ali, leaving the hosts six down.

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Jaker Ali won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan’s innings was anchored by Salman Agha, while the team’s bowling unit, led by Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi, effectively contained Bangladesh’s lineup.
