Abu Dhabi is set to host the highly anticipated Games of the Future 2025 (GOTF 2025), a revolutionary global sporting event where phygital sports—a fusion of physical athleticism and digital gaming—take center stage. Scheduled from 18-23 December 2025 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the tournament exemplifies the UAE’s forward-looking ambitions under the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision and aligns with the nation’s 2025 Year of Community, emphasizing youth empowerment, innovation, and cultural collaboration.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Sports, highlighted the significance of the event, stating that hosting GOTF 2025 represents a qualitative leap in consolidating the UAE’s global position in sports innovation. Dr. Al Falasi emphasized that the Games embody the We the UAE 2031 vision, by nurturing youth talent, advancing the digital economy, and reinforcing Emirati sports on the world stage. “The Games of the Future 2025 merge athletic performance with cutting-edge technology, inspiring youth, fostering teamwork, and driving innovation,” said Dr. Al Falasi. “The Ministry of Sports is committed to ensuring the success of this event and solidifying the UAE as a premier host of global sporting events.”
The tournament provides a platform for young athletes and gamers to demonstrate their skills internationally, promoting creativity, collaboration, and innovation. By hosting a world-class phygital sports tournament, the UAE strengthens its role as a global hub for transformative sporting experiences.
Celebrating the Year of Community, GOTF 2025 emphasizes inclusivity, unity, and collaboration, bringing together athletes, fans, and clubs from around the world to compete in a spirit of respect and teamwork.
Event Details:

Phygital Football teams México Quetzales – Armadillos FC, CM Jardim, Greni Smith, Z10, FC WHITEBIRD, and La Crema will return following their stellar performances at the Phygital Contenders: Abu Dhabi – Football earlier this year.

Notable athletes such as Rodrigo Ulibarri and Aldair Giorgana (México Quetzales – Armadillos FC) and Matheus Dedo (CM Jardim) will compete, showcasing exceptional talent across both traditional and digital sports. Participants from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas underscore the event’s international appeal and rising popularity.
