India is set to take a monumental leap in its digital journey as the world’s largest tech and AI exhibition, GITEX, officially announces its debut in India. The landmark event — GITEX Ai India 2027 — will be hosted in Bengaluru, Karnataka in April 2027, cementing India’s position as one of the most influential forces in global technology.

The partnership between Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International, in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, marks a defining moment for India’s innovation landscape. As one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, India’s tech industry is projected to reach US$350 billion by 2026, contributing nearly 10% to the nation’s GDP.

The announcement was made at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai, where Indian companies and innovators have consistently formed one of the largest delegations each year. The upcoming Bengaluru edition will extend the event’s global footprint, promising new opportunities in trade, investment, and technology exchange.

Karnataka — known as India’s tech powerhouse — leads the nation with 42% of software exports and hosts the highest number of homegrown unicorns. Its deep talent base, thriving startup culture, and advanced infrastructure make it the natural choice to anchor GITEX Ai India’s first edition.

The event will showcase the future of frontier technologies — from AI and semiconductors to advanced manufacturing, fintech, agritech, and quantum computing — positioning India as a central hub for innovation and global collaboration.

GITEX Ai India also reflects the growing economic synergy between India and the UAE. In the first half of 2025, bilateral non-oil trade surged by 34% to nearly US$38 billion, with cooperation now extending into digital services, renewable energy, and deep-tech innovation.
