Fatima Sana Shaikh added a burst of color to Mumbai during the special screening of her romantic drama, Gustaakh Ishq. In the movie, Fatima portrays Minni, a schoolteacher and daughter of a retired poet. In a recent interview discussing Minni, Fatima expressed that the character resonates with many real-life women she knows. She characterized Minni as a resilient, composed, and optimistic individual—not your typical glamorous heroine, but a woman embodying love and dignity in her quiet manner. Director Vibhu Puri commended Fatima’s performance, noting how she infused depth into the role, making silence resonate powerfully, akin to spoken dialogue.

During filming, Fatima faced a troubling health scare, suffering a seizure on set that startled everyone involved. Co-star Vijay Varma recounted how alarming the situation was, describing how the team swiftly cleared space for her to lie down and provided comfort during the incident. Once the seizure subsided, she was relocated to a hotel room to recuperate, though she had no recollection of what transpired.

This incident highlighted the pressures actors endure and the camaraderie among cast members. Despite this challenge, Fatima demonstrated unwavering commitment, resuming work on the film with zeal.
