One notable incident occurred in Kazakhstan when Mr. Al Nahdi's Toyota Land Cruiser pick-up truck broke down in a remote area. After hours of searching, they found a garage in Atyrau city, where a local named Abdullah not only repaired their vehicle but also provided a cultural tour of the city. Abdullah and his friends offered them a glimpse of Kazakh hospitality, including traditional food and a sauna experience.
In Mongolia, the duo explored Sagsai village, known for its eagle hunting traditions, adding another thrilling chapter to their journey. When they arrived at the Great Wall of China, Mr. Al Nahdi and Mr. Al Teneiji paid tribute to their homeland by donning traditional Emirati dress and posing with the UAE flag, which drew significant attention and appreciation from locals.
For the final leg of their adventure, the pair drove from Beijing to Tianjin, where they shipped their vehicles across the East China Sea to Tokyo. Upon arrival in Japan, they were warmly welcomed by UAE Ambassador to Japan Shihab Al Faheem at the embassy in Tokyo. Their journey concluded with a drive through Kyoto to their final destination, Osaka.
As they returned home, Mr. Al Nahdi and Mr. Al Teneiji expressed their satisfaction with the trip and hinted at plans for another road trip next year, potentially to the USA, Australia, or Siberia. Mr. Al Nahdi intends to keep his Toyota Land Cruiser, cherishing the many memories from this extraordinary adventure.
