Dubai hosted the Annual Meetings of the Global Future Councils 2025, where over 700 global experts from 93 countries gathered to explore how inclusive and sustainable societies can secure a higher quality of life for people worldwide. The event, organised by the UAE Government in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF), featured 37 Councils under six broad themes—Technology, Economy, Society, Environment, Governance, and Health.
Under the “Society” theme, discussions centred on four Global Future Councils: Experience and Lifestyle Economy, Investing in Gender Parity, Faith in Action, and Human Capital Development. Together, they shared a unified vision—creating communities that are equitable, adaptable, and driven by shared human values.
Participants emphasised the need to design sustainable social models that not only improve living standards but also promote social cohesion. They discussed new ways to innovate in lifestyle and social care sectors, strengthen equality, and empower every section of society.

The Global Future Council on Experience and Lifestyle Economy highlighted how technology has transformed the retail, hospitality, and entertainment industries. Members called for reinventing consumer experiences through AI and digital innovation while preserving cultural identity and the value of real-world interactions.
Meanwhile, the Council on Investing in Gender Parity explored how equality in finance and investment can unlock long-term growth. Members proposed recognising gender parity as a core indicator in investment assessments—helping direct more resources towards women-led projects and equitable financial systems.
The Faith in Action Council discussed how values-based leadership can bridge social and political divides. Members underlined that ethical frameworks inspired by shared beliefs can foster trust, collaboration, and compassion in workplaces and communities alike.
The Human Capital Development Council turned its attention to the evolving education landscape, shaped by new technologies and changing skill demands. The Council urged stronger partnerships between schools, universities, governments, and businesses to ensure lifelong learning systems that stay relevant in a fast-changing world.
As global challenges grow more complex, the Global Future Councils 2025 underscored one essential truth: progress must go hand in hand with inclusion, empathy, and sustainability. The conversations in Dubai reaffirmed that building a better future starts with people—empowered, educated, and united by shared purpose.
