Dubai Chambers Showcases City's Edge to 2,500 at Africa CEO Forum

Dubai Chambers has concluded its successful participation in the Africa CEO Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda, drawing over 2,500 attendees comprising African presidents, government officials, and CEOs from global and African corporations.

Led by His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, the delegation actively engaged in panel discussions and networking sessions. The event provided a platform for Dubai Chambers to underscore Dubai's strategic advantages and facilitate partnerships.

Alongside the main forum activities, Dubai Chambers organized an exclusive session to showcase Dubai's appeal as a global business hub. The session emphasized the diverse services available for African companies seeking expansion into global markets through Dubai, along with the support mechanisms for bolstering trade and investment ties.

The Dubai Chambers delegation seized the opportunity to hold bilateral discussions with African government representatives, multinational corporations, and key international institutions. These engagements aimed to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation and achieving shared economic objectives.

In the panel discussion themed 'Decisive Decade for Intra-African Trade: Can the AfCFTA Deliver?', H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah highlighted Dubai's pivotal role in fostering trade relations between Africa and the rest of the world. He emphasized the significance of Dubai's representative offices operated by Dubai International Chamber in fostering partnerships between Dubai's private sector and African businesses.

With seven representative offices across Africa, Dubai International Chamber underscores Dubai's commitment to strengthening ties with the continent. African markets have become increasingly integral to Dubai's non-oil trade, accounting for 13.3% of the city's total non-oil trade with the world in 2023.

The 11th edition of the Africa CEO Forum, inaugurated by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, addressed diverse topics including investment, climate, technology, economic integration, and trade. Organized by Jeune Afrique Media Group in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, the forum served as a premier platform for advancing discussions on Africa's economic landscape and business opportunities.
