Dubai and Abu Dhabi are set to host a vibrant lineup of cultural festivals in 2025, attracting tourists and locals alike with art, music, food, fashion and heritage experiences. The year promises a calendar full of events celebrating both traditional Emirati culture and global influences, making it the perfect time to explore the UAE’s creative landscape.
Dubai will feature several major festivals including the Dubai Art Season, which combines art exhibitions, installations, and interactive workshops across galleries and public spaces from February to April. The Dubai Food Festival is expected in March, offering gourmet experiences, street food events and cooking workshops highlighting local and international cuisines. The Dubai Shopping Festival, a long-standing tradition, will take place in January with discounts, live performances, fashion shows and family entertainment. Music enthusiasts can enjoy the Dubai Jazz Festival in March, featuring world-class performers and evening concerts under the city skyline. Heritage lovers can experience Dubai Heritage Month in November, showcasing traditional crafts, cultural performances and Emirati storytelling.
Abu Dhabi will also host several iconic events starting with the Abu Dhabi Film Festival in April, featuring regional and international films, panels, and workshops for cinema lovers. The Abu Dhabi Art Fair in November will bring together contemporary and classical art exhibitions, auctions and artist meet-and-greet sessions. Food enthusiasts can enjoy the Abu Dhabi Food Festival in May, offering tasting events, cooking demonstrations and culinary tours. The Liwa Date Festival, held in the desert region, celebrates Emirati heritage and traditional agricultural practices, including music, folk dance, camel races and traditional crafts. Music and live performances will also feature during the Abu Dhabi Summer Season with concerts, cultural shows and family-friendly entertainment across the emirate.
Plan ahead and check festival dates as some events require advance booking. Use public transport or taxis to avoid traffic near major venues. Dress comfortably but respectfully, especially for traditional and heritage-focused events. Take advantage of family zones, workshops and interactive sessions to fully experience the local culture. Capture memories through photography but respect cultural norms and event guidelines. Evening events are popular, so arriving early ensures better access and seating.
The 2025 festival calendar emphasizes a blend of local traditions and international culture, providing immersive experiences for every visitor. From art installations to music performances, culinary adventures to heritage exhibitions, Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer year-round opportunities to explore creativity, community and culture in dynamic and memorable ways.
