Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, welcomed a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on sustainable development, improving government performance, and increasing competitiveness through shared experiences and modern governance practices.
The UAE delegation represented the Government Experience Exchange Office under the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities to work together in line with the shared vision of the leadership of Bahrain and the UAE. The talks reflected the strong partnership and close coordination that exist between the two nations at various levels.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to exchanging knowledge and building strong and effective partnerships with the UAE. He praised the growing Bahraini-Emirati relationship and said the cooperation between the two countries continues to expand under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also noted that the strong fraternal ties between the two nations support collaboration in key priority sectors.
Abdulla Nasser Lootah, UAE Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to strengthening cooperation with Bahrain. He said the UAE is keen to share its successful experiences in government modernisation and sustainable development, especially innovative models that improve efficiency and public services.
The UAE delegation also held meetings with Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Economic Development Board. These meetings focused on expanding knowledge exchange, supporting sustainable development initiatives, and encouraging government innovation.
The visit reflects the strong commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation, exchange expertise, and work together toward long-term sustainable growth and development.
