Azizi Confirms Dubai Skyscraper to be World’s Second Tallest

Azizi Developments has officially announced its ambitious plan to construct a skyscraper towering 725 meters high on Dubai’s Shaikh Zayed Road. Set to become the second-tallest building in the world, this new landmark will stand in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa, which currently holds the title of the world's tallest structure at 828 meters.

The project, named “Burj Azizi,” will feature over 131 stories and is expected to begin residential apartment sales in February 2025. The tower's construction is projected to be completed by 2028, with the primary contractor yet to be disclosed. While the exact number of freehold apartments remains undecided, the development will also include a retail center and a hotel component, inspired by seven cultural themes.

Strategically located adjacent to the metro station for the World Trade Center, the plot for Burj Azizi was acquired by Azizi Developments in September 2022. The project’s chairman, Mirwais Azizi, has described the Dh6 billion venture as a transformative endeavor for Sheikh Zayed Road, aiming to elevate Dubai’s skyline to unprecedented heights.

In addition to its impressive height, Burj Azizi will feature several record-breaking amenities:

Level 11: Home to the world’s tallest hotel lobby.
Level 126: Housing the tallest nightclub.
Level 130: Featuring the tallest observation deck.
Level 118: The highest hotel room in Dubai.
Level 122: The tallest restaurant in the city.

The unveiling of Burj Azizi comes as Dubai’s real estate market experiences a surge of iconic skyscrapers, including the Uptown Tower and the One Za’abeel development.
