Born in 1949, Rabha faced significant hardships in her early life, having to drop out of school due to financial constraints and getting married at a young age. She became a mother of three children.

Sarma, in a tribute on social media, hailed Rabha's leadership and unwavering dedication to serving society, stating that Assam would forever remain grateful for her contributions.

Birubala Rabha's passing marks the end of an era in the fight against witch hunting in Assam, but her legacy of courage and activism will continue to inspire generations to come.
