Dubai came alive with colors and creativity as the second volunteering initiative under the ‘7 Over 7’ campaign unfolded at Al Mamzar Park. The event, held to mark UAE Flag Day, brought together over 200 People of Determination and 400 volunteers for an art session celebrating national identity and community spirit.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, attended the event, accompanied by Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The ‘7 Over 7’ campaign promotes skill-based volunteering across all seven emirates, encouraging meaningful community engagement. At the Al Mamzar Park session, participants explored various forms of artistic expression, producing a stunning series of artworks, including a large-scale painting of the UAE flag on the theatre’s outer wall—a vibrant symbol of unity and pride.
The session highlighted the creativity and potential of People of Determination, emphasizing inclusion and empowerment. Attendees experienced a hands-on platform to express their artistic talents while collaborating with specialised volunteers. The event reflected the UAE’s vision of social cohesion, giving, and fostering an environment where all community segments can contribute actively to the nation’s cultural and social growth.
This celebration of art and volunteerism underscored the message that creativity knows no boundaries and that every member of society has a role in shaping a united, vibrant future.
