Abu Dhabi Investment Office partners with TIM Group for MENA growth

Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has made an important agreement with TIM Group, a top company from Italy and Brazil that works with telecommunication and technology. This agreement will help TIM Group set up its main office in Abu Dhabi. This will help TIM expand its business and also make Abu Dhabi a bigger center for digital technology and fast internet.

The partnership was signed in Rome during the Italy-UAE Business Forum. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, were present at the ceremony. The signing of the deal was done by His Excellency Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, from ADIO, and Pietro Labriola, the CEO of TIM Group.

With this partnership, TIM will bring its skills in secure communications and smart technology to Abu Dhabi. TIM is also looking into ways to help Abu Dhabi improve its digital network by working with local and international partners. This will help speed up the rollout of 5G and 6G technologies in the city.

TIM Group will also open a special center in Abu Dhabi focused on smart technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). This center will help develop new ideas for smart cities, homes, and energy systems. Additionally, TIM is thinking of bringing a service called edge computing to Abu Dhabi. This will allow data to be processed faster, improving services like smart devices and entertainment.

TIM’s main office in Abu Dhabi will be important for its business across the Middle East, North Africa, and India. It will also work with universities, investors, and tech companies to bring new ideas, research, and job training in digital fields.

His Excellency Badr Al-Olama, the head of ADIO, said that this partnership will bring new technology to Abu Dhabi and help the city’s economy grow. He said attracting investors is important to make innovation part of Abu Dhabi’s development. Pietro Labriola, the CEO of TIM, said that Abu Dhabi’s strong internet, infrastructure, and focus on innovation make it the perfect place for their growth.
