Abu Dhabi Government to Participate in GITEX Global 2024 Event

The Abu Dhabi Government is set to participate in GITEX Global 2024, which will take place from October 14 to 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year’s theme, “Towards an AI-Native Government,” marks the 13th consecutive year of participation for the Abu Dhabi Government, underscoring the emirate's commitment to embracing next-generation transformation and innovation in public services.

Leading the participation will be the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), which is coordinating efforts among more than 30 government and academic institutions to ensure a cohesive and seamless experience for visitors at GITEX. The focus of this participation will be to showcase Abu Dhabi’s advancements in deploying digital, AI-driven, and data-centric solutions designed to enhance customer experience and establish a future-ready government.

The Abu Dhabi Pavilion will be organized into five distinct zones, each dedicated to key areas of innovation: Services & Experiences, Data & Insights, Emerging Technology, Cyber Security & Digital Trust, and Sustainable Technology. Throughout the event, the Abu Dhabi Government plans to unveil cutting-edge AI-powered services and customer experience initiatives, while also fostering partnerships that promote innovation, efficiency, and excellence among the participating government entities.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration among Abu Dhabi's government entities, stating, "We are accelerating the digital evolution toward a tech-driven future in line with the visionary leadership of the emirate, creating a future-ready, AI-enabled government. By harnessing the power of AI, next-gen technologies, and data-driven insights, we are delivering smarter, more seamless services that enhance the wellbeing and experiences of our citizens and residents. Our presence at GITEX 2024 underscores our unwavering commitment to advancing Abu Dhabi’s digital innovation, ensuring government services are efficient, transparent, and highly responsive to the evolving needs of the community."

The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion will feature over 80 innovative projects, including the launch of several exciting new initiatives. Among these is an AI-powered health app designed to streamline health management for users, as well as a new version of the TAMM platform that will provide a highly personalized experience for its users.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Askar, Director-General of TAMM at DGE, noted, “We are excited to unveil the next evolution of TAMM, a collaborative achievement made possible by the dedicated efforts of multiple Abu Dhabi Government entities. By leveraging AI and state-of-the-art technologies, we are setting new benchmarks for service excellence, efficiency, and customer experience. Our commitment to workforce excellence and AI-driven innovation reflects our vision, and an upcoming announcement will further highlight how TAMM is reshaping public services and driving innovation in line with our strategic goals.”

DGE and its Abu Dhabi Government partners will engage with leading global technology firms, participate in discussions on the future of AI governance, cybersecurity, and customer experience, and initiate several strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening Abu Dhabi’s digital ecosystem.

His Excellency Saeed Al Mulla, Executive Director of Customer Experience at DGE, emphasized, “Abu Dhabi’s government is designing the customer experience of the future, focusing on enhancing service delivery through advanced technologies and data-driven solutions. At GITEX Global 2024, we will showcase new customer experience programs that will streamline and improve interactions between the government and the community. Our goal is to ensure that services are accessible, efficient, and tailored to the evolving needs of our citizens and residents.”

As the UAE aspires to become a global leader in digital governance, the Abu Dhabi Government's participation in GITEX 2024 highlights the emirate’s commitment to creating a responsive, efficient government equipped for the future.
