The "UAE Stands with Lebanon" national campaign was officially launched today, marking a significant effort to provide humanitarian support to the Lebanese people amid their ongoing crisis. In a remarkable show of solidarity, 200 tonnes of aid have been organized into 10,000 relief packages, thanks to the dedication of 4,000 volunteers who have come together to support this initiative.

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, visited the relief aid collection centre for the campaign at Expo City Dubai. The initiative operates under the directives of Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with guidance from Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, is overseeing the efforts.

During his visit, Sheikh Mansoor was joined by Reem Al Hashimy, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, where they received updates on the activities and contributions of volunteers and organizers supporting the campaign. Over 4,000 volunteers gathered at Expo City Dubai, working tirelessly to assemble more than 10,000 emergency relief kits intended for distribution.

Launched last Tuesday, the "UAE Stands with Lebanon" campaign will run until Monday, October 21, with the objective of delivering urgent relief packages to Lebanon. This effort is crucial in addressing the immediate humanitarian needs arising from the country’s ongoing crisis.

In addition to the activities at Expo City Dubai, the relief package collection and packing efforts will also take place on Sunday, October 13, at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal (Building 1), and again on Saturday, October 19, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
