Rotana has announced a strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches aimed at cultivating local talent within the hospitality industry. This collaboration marks an important milestone as the academy has enrolled its first batch of students for its inaugural intake this September, underscoring its commitment to supporting hospitality education not only in Abu Dhabi but throughout the UAE and the wider region.

The partnership is designed to nurture and elevate local talent, addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the UAE’s thriving hospitality sector. As the region experiences significant growth in tourism, there is an increasing need for qualified personnel to meet the industry’s evolving requirements. This collaboration is expected to bridge the skills gap and promote the development of local professionals capable of contributing effectively to the market.

Shaikha Al Nowais, Corporate Vice President of Owner Relationship Management at Rotana and a board member of the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to join forces with Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches to foster the next generation of hospitality leaders and professionals in the UAE. This partnership aligns with our commitment to empowering local talent and contributes to the sustainable development of the region’s hospitality industry.”

Under this collaboration, Rotana will offer students valuable industry insights, internship opportunities, and job placements at its prestigious properties across the UAE. The partnership will also facilitate mentorship programs, workshops, and masterclasses, led by experienced professionals from both Rotana and the academy, providing students with an immersive learning experience.

Georgette Davey from Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches emphasized the importance of industry partnerships, stating, “Partnering with key industry players is essential for us. Rotana will enhance our curriculum and provide our students with unparalleled access to real-world experience. Together, we can empower local students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel in the fast-paced hospitality industry.”

As part of their collaboration, the partners have also established the Rotana Scholarship, which will cover the full annual tuition for selected students. This year, Fatma Ibrahim has been awarded the scholarship and will pursue a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Global Hospitality Management. Her program will include an internship at one of Rotana’s properties, enabling her to gain practical experience and pursue a career within the group.

The partnership will extend beyond education, incorporating a series of events and initiatives aimed at engaging students, fostering community involvement, and celebrating the talents of emerging hospitality professionals. This initiative represents a significant step toward advancing the hospitality landscape in the UAE, ensuring a robust future for local talent in the industry
