For this festival, ADBWC has set up Souq Al Teeb, working with the House of Artisans. Here, 18 businesses led by women are showing the UAE’s creativity and innovation. The event was opened by Her Highness Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Khawla Arts and Culture Foundation, and wife of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. This event helps ADBWC achieve its goal of promoting products made by Emirati women and increasing their role in Abu Dhabi's economy and culture.
Apart from showcasing these businesses, ADBWC is also offering 24 workshops. These workshops are meant to help people learn skills, protect traditional crafts, and inspire new ideas in Abu Dhabi’s business scene.
Her Excellency Asma Al Fahim, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, said, “Our involvement in Al Hosn Festival 2025 shows our dedication to helping women entrepreneurs. Through this big event, we aim to give these women more chances to connect with local and international people. It’s a great way to celebrate the amazing skills of Emirati craftsmen while supporting the UAE’s goal of growing its economy in an inclusive way.”
At Souq Al Teeb, visitors can see many unique businesses by Emirati women, such as Oud Hay, Hikaye Boutique & Oud, Merwad, Sewn Threads, Zwain Fashion, and Meera Al Muhairi – Fine Jewelry. The products include fashion, perfumes, handmade items, candles, and fine jewelry, all showing the talent of the business owners.
To further support these businesses, ADBWC is also hosting fun and helpful workshops. Some of these include The Craftopia (Arts and Crafts), Candelaria – Candle Making, By Fan Al Oud (Dukhoon Making), and Qissah (Resin Art). These workshops aim to keep traditional crafts alive and give entrepreneurs the skills they need to grow and succeed.
The Al Hosn Festival, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, celebrates the rich culture of Abu Dhabi. This event is the perfect place for entrepreneurs to connect with a larger audience and show how creative and full of opportunities Abu Dhabi is.
