This year’s festival theme is *A Living Expression of Abu Dhabi’s Culture.* There will be live music by Emirati artists, craft-making demonstrations, tasty food experiences, and fun workshops for people of all ages. Visitors can also explore the history of Abu Dhabi by visiting Qasr Al Hosn and learn about traditional crafts at the House of Artisans.
A special part of the festival is called the *Makers Space,* where visitors can see how people in the past lived and worked in three places: the desert (*Al Barr*), the oasis (*Al Waha*), and resting spots during journeys (*Al Megyal*). Visitors can join activities like building shelters, starting fires, and learning how plants were used as medicine. In the oasis area, near the falaj and palm trees, visitors can try making crafts like pottery and Khoos weaving.
The festival also features a play called *Sanad Al Sanaa,* which shares values like kindness, teamwork, and hospitality. The story is about a boy named Sanad, who is known for being wise and generous. He faces challenges but always solves them with kindness, teaching the importance of family and helping each other.
Visitors can enjoy the popular *Gahwa Championships,* where skilled people compete to make the best traditional Arabic coffee. Another activity is *Al Teeb,* which is about Emirati perfumes and their history. Visitors can learn how perfumes and incense are made using traditional methods and natural ingredients.
A big show at the festival will include shadow plays, poetry recitals, and a performance of *Al Tcholeeb.* This event will feature knights on horses performing poetry as they return to Qasr Al Hosn in celebration.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, said the festival helps people learn about Abu Dhabi’s culture and traditions. He explained that the festival is not only about the past but also shows how these traditions are still important today. It brings pride to the community and lets visitors from around the world experience the spirit of Abu Dhabi.
The festival supports Abu Dhabi’s cultural goals by helping artists and craftsmen connect with businesses and visitors. It has become a favorite event for the local community and is now attracting more tourists who want to enjoy these cultural experiences.
The Al Hosn Festival will be open daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Tickets cost AED 35 for people aged 13 to 59 and AED 15 for kids aged 5 to 12. Entry is free for kids under 5, seniors over 60, and People of Determination. The ticket counter will close at 10:30 PM. To buy tickets or find out more,
