Dubai has granted 1,200 permits for the distribution of Iftar meals as part of its Ramadan initiatives, announced by Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department. These permits aim to facilitate the serving of 1.2 million Iftar meals daily. The events are organized into four categories: Islamic, cultural, community, and charitable activities.

Under the Islamic umbrella, the Dubai Readers initiative hosts renowned readers for Taraweeh and Qiyaam prayers, complemented by multilingual lectures across mosques. These efforts align with the Ramadan in Dubai campaign, overseen by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, fostering unity and coexistence.

Incorporating social media and interactive initiatives like "Our Crescent is in Our Home," this year's Ramadan initiative aims to engage diverse audiences. Television programs with Dubai Media Incorporated, such as "Years in the Service of the Houses of Allah," enrich the experience.

Islamic and cultural events include Quran memorization competitions for government employees, enhancing knowledge through legal and scientific courses, and facilitating fatwa councils. Community events, like Hala Ramadan and We Break Our Fast Together, foster inclusivity and unity, exemplified by the Muezzin Al-Fareej event.

Charitable activities promote philanthropy with initiatives like the Art of the Clothes Box, integrating sports, health, and donations through initiatives like Step of Life. Plans for coordinating the largest human slogan on Zayed Humanitarian Day highlight the department's commitment to social welfare and community cohesion.
