Verbier has been named "Switzerland’s Best Ski Destination 2024" at the World Ski Awards. This is the sixth time the ski resort has won this title in the past seven years, having also claimed the award in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. The award reflects the support from the local community, partners, and visitors from both Switzerland and around the world.

In the global ranking, Verbier was among the top ski resorts, sharing the podium with Kitzbühel in Austria and Val Thorens in France. Val Thorens won the overall title.
Simon Wiget, the Director of Verbier Tourism, stated that the award recognizes the hard work and ongoing investment in improving the visitor experience. He thanked everyone involved for helping Verbier earn this recognition.
In addition to the resort's success, Verbier’s partners were also recognized. The W Hotel Verbier was named "Switzerland’s Best Ski Hotel 2024" and "World’s Best Ski Hotel 2024" for the ninth consecutive year. Leo Trippi, a local travel agency, was awarded "World’s Best Ski Travel Agent 2024."
The World Ski Awards, established in 2013, recognize excellence in ski tourism. Voting is done by both the public and tourism professionals, with categories like "Best Ski Resort," "Best Ski Hotel," and "Best Ski Chalet."
