The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been ranked as the second safest country in the world, according to the 2025 Safety Index by Numbeo. The UAE achieved an impressive safety score of 84.5, just behind Andorra, which took the top position with a score of 84.7.

Qatar came in third place with a score of 84.2, followed by Taiwan in fourth place and Oman in fifth. The rankings show that GCC countries are among the safest in the world, as Qatar and Oman both made it to the top five.
