Autogo, a company in the UAE that provides self-driving transportation solutions, has started testing its RoboTaxi service in Abu Dhabi. The company is part of Kintsugi Holding and plans to begin full-scale operations by 2026.
This trial is part of a partnership with Apollo Go, the self-driving ride service owned by Baidu, one of the world’s top companies in autonomous transport. The goal is to introduce next-generation transportation technology to Abu Dhabi’s roads.
Testing in Collaboration with Authorities
The trials are being carried out with support from Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC). This will ensure that the service follows local transportation rules, fits into the city’s existing infrastructure, and supports the emirate’s goal of smarter mobility.

Smart and Safe Travel
RoboTaxis are designed to offer a smooth and convenient travel experience. The vehicles run on electric power and use artificial intelligence (AI) to drive safely and efficiently. They can respond in real time to what’s happening around them, making them reliable and precise on the road.
Safer and Greener Transport
Autogo’s vision goes beyond just making travel easier. RoboTaxis aim to reduce road accidents by cutting down on human driving mistakes. Since they run on electricity, they also help reduce pollution and traffic jams, making them a more eco-friendly option.
Advanced RoboTaxi Features
The RT6 RoboTaxi, now in its sixth generation, is built for driverless ride services. It offers improved safety, smarter technology, and greater comfort. Apollo Go, the first company in China to offer fully self-driving ride services, continues to use AI, big data, and automation to shape the future of urban travel.
Company’s Vision for the Future
Sean Teo, Managing Director of Kintsugi Holding, said that starting RoboTaxi trials in Abu Dhabi marks the beginning of a major change in transportation. He explained that the goal is to improve road safety and create more sustainable travel options.
Autogo and Apollo Go plan to test the RoboTaxi’s performance in real-life conditions, interact with the public, and get ready for a wider launch across Abu Dhabi by 2026.
Apollo Go’s Global Success
Apollo Go, also known as Luobo Kuaipao, is Baidu’s self-driving ride service platform. It is one of the leaders in autonomous transportation worldwide. Their self-driving vehicles have already traveled over 150 million kilometers safely. By March 2025, the company expects to complete over 10 million driverless ride orders.
