UAE DMT Prepares for Weather Alert March 21–27

The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has increased its readiness to deal with expected weather conditions across the UAE from March 21 to 27, 2026.

This move is part of a comprehensive emergency plan carried out in coordination with key partners to ensure public safety and uninterrupted services during the forecast period.

As part of the preparations, Emergency Operations Centres have been activated in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra municipalities. These centres will operate кругл the clock to handle reports and respond quickly to any situation.

DMT has also deployed field teams, including engineers, supervisors, and technical staff. Heavy machinery and specialized vehicles have been positioned to manage rainwater accumulation and other weather-related issues efficiently.

Residents have been urged to report any waterlogging or concerns by calling 993. Authorities also advised the public to stay away from valleys, flood-prone areas, and watercourses during this period.

The department emphasized that following safety guidelines will help emergency teams perform effectively and ensure the protection of lives and property.
