Philippine Airlines Suspends Dubai, Doha Flights Till April 30

Dubai: Philippine Airlines (PAL) has temporarily suspended its flights between Manila and key Middle East destinations, including Dubai and Doha, until April 30 due to ongoing regional tensions.

The airline said the move is a precautionary step as the situation in parts of the Middle East continues to evolve, creating uncertainty around airspace access and airport operations.

PAL stated that the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft remains its top priority. Considering the current conditions, the airline decided that suspending these services is the safest option for now.

Flights Affected:

The suspended routes include:

• PR 658/659 (Manila–Dubai–Manila)
• PR 684 (Manila–Doha)
• PR 685 (Doha–Manila)

In addition, flight PR 685 (Doha–Manila) scheduled for May 1 has also been cancelled.

Options for Passengers:

Travellers affected by the suspension have several options:

• Rebook flights once services resume
• Convert tickets into travel credits
• Request a full refund as per airline policy

PAL confirmed that its customer service teams are assisting passengers through its website, contact centres, and ticket offices.

Cargo Operations Impacted:

Cargo services on these routes have also been suspended. The airline is working with logistics partners to find alternative routes to ensure essential shipments continue where possible.

PAL said it is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with aviation authorities before deciding when to resume normal operations.

Passengers are advised to regularly check flight updates and consider alternative travel plans if their journey is urgent, as the situation may change quickly.
