The UAE has helped arrange another exchange of war prisoners between Russia and Ukraine. In this latest swap, 175 captives from each side were freed, making it a total of 3,233 prisoners exchanged through UAE’s help so far.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked both Russia and Ukraine for working together to make the exchange happen. The ministry said this shows the UAE’s good and balanced ties with both countries.

This was the thirteenth prisoner swap carried out with UAE’s support since the war started. The ministry said the UAE is committed to helping reduce the suffering caused by the war.
The UAE also promised to keep supporting peace efforts and help people affected by the conflict, including refugees and prisoners. It said it will continue working with both sides and the global community to bring peace and stability.
