Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) and Sakina, both part of PureHealth, have joined hands to open a new memory clinic in the UAE. The clinic aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of dementia and other memory-related problems. By combining Sakina’s mental health skills with SSMC’s expert medical care, the clinic will offer early detection, special treatment, and long-term care for people with memory issues.

The clinic uses modern technology to give better care. It offers brain scans, biomarker tests, and personalised treatments to find memory problems early. Instead of just treating the symptoms, the clinic uses data and research to provide accurate and effective care. This approach fills an important gap in dementia care by offering treatments designed for each person’s needs.
Patients will be treated by a team of memory care experts. This includes doctors who specialise in brain health, psychiatry, and mental health. The clinic offers many services, such as brain exercises, counselling, and support for family members. They also provide advice on medicine and therapies. Families will get education and emotional support to help them care for their loved ones.
The clinic will also focus on research. It plans to run studies on new treatments for Alzheimer’s and conduct large-scale research on dementia cases in the UAE. The clinic will use artificial intelligence (AI) tools and digital therapies to detect and treat memory problems faster and more accurately.
Dr. Marwan Al Kaabi, the CEO of SSMC, said that the clinic will give high-quality care with kindness and understanding. He said the goal is to support both patients and their families at every step.
Dr. Zain Al Yafai, the CEO of Sakina, said the clinic will make mental healthcare more available in the UAE. He added that the clinic will bring advanced treatments to the region, helping to improve people’s health and quality of life.
Dr. Nasir Al-Zbeidi, a memory care expert at SSMC and head of the Mental Health Council at Sakina, said the clinic will offer care that respects the culture and needs of patients. He said that patients will receive personalised care plans, Arabic-language services, and regular support for their families.
The memory clinic is located in Tower A of the Hospital Building at SSMC. It is now open to patients and offers expert care for people with dementia and other memory-related conditions.
