The AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP), which was started by BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) – now owned by BlackRock – Microsoft, and MGX, has added NVIDIA and xAI as new members. This will make the group stronger as it plans to build more smart data centers and improve energy systems. With the addition of NVIDIA and xAI, the group will now be called the AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP). The aim is to create better data centers and improve power supply to support future technology growth.

As part of this deal, NVIDIA will help AIP with its knowledge in fast computers and new technology. The company will guide AIP in building better and faster data centers. NVIDIA’s advanced systems will help turn large sets of raw data into useful information, helping businesses and industries grow.

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, shared how this growth will benefit the world, saying:
“Building new technology will help every country and company grow faster and solve big problems. With NVIDIA’s technology, data centers will turn information into useful ideas that will help industries and people achieve great things.”

To support the growing data centers, AIP has also joined hands with GE Vernova and NextEra Energy. These companies will help create stronger power systems that can keep the large data centers running smoothly. GE Vernova will work with AIP to plan the supply chain and bring in new power solutions that use less energy but give better results. The plan includes using wind, solar, gas, and nuclear power to make sure the data centers always have steady electricity.

John Ketchum, CEO of NextEra Energy, explained why stronger power systems are needed:
“For technology to succeed, we need strong and steady power. This means using clean energy like solar and wind, along with battery storage, gas, and nuclear power. Our goal is to quickly add as much power to the system as possible at a low cost.”

Scott Strazik, CEO of GE Vernova, spoke about how this will help the future, saying:
“The jobs and businesses of tomorrow will depend on the power systems we build today. We are working on using many types of energy – gas, nuclear, wind – while also finding new ways to reduce pollution and improve efficiency.”

Since AIP began in September 2024, it has drawn strong interest from investors and businesses. The group plans to raise $30 billion from private investors and companies. With extra loan money, the total investment could reach $100 billion. By spending on new data centers and power networks, AIP aims to boost technology growth and support digital expansion. The group will mainly focus on the US, Europe, and other partner countries, helping local economies grow while supporting technology progress.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, talked about how this will shape the future:
“Technology will help every industry and every part of the world grow. We are excited to have new companies join us as we work together to build the future.”

Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, explained why strong technology systems are needed:
“New technology will change the global economy, but we need the right systems and power to support it. This partnership brings together top companies and investors to make it happen. It also gives our clients new ways to invest in technology growth.”

Bayo Ogunlesi, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, spoke about the importance of private funding:
“Since we launched AIP, the interest we’ve seen shows how much private money is needed to build new technology systems. We are happy to welcome new partners and look forward to making this project bigger and stronger.”

His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of MGX, shared his thoughts on the future:
