The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed the Eid Al Fitr holidays for private sector workers in the UAE. The holidays will start from Sunday, March 30, and continue until Tuesday, April 1. All private sector staff will get paid leave during these days.
If the first day of Eid falls on Monday, March 31, the holidays will be extended to Wednesday, April 2. This means private sector employees could enjoy a four-day break, including the regular weekend on Friday and Saturday.

The exact date of Eid Al Fitr will depend on the sighting of the crescent moon. Religious authorities will confirm the moon sighting near the end of Ramadan, which will mark the start of Shawwal, the next Islamic month.
Eid Al Fitr is a special festival celebrated at the end of Ramadan. It is a time for prayer, family gatherings, and sharing meals. People also give charity, visit loved ones, and exchange gifts during this joyful occasion.
The holidays will give private sector employees a chance to relax and spend time with their families. Many people may use the long weekend for short trips or leisure activities. The government will announce the public sector holidays separately, which are usually the same or sometimes longer than the private sector holidays.
