Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) has announced a major rebranding initiative across its portfolio of companies, aimed at reflecting its transformation and supporting its growth strategy. This new brand identity underscores TAQA's commitment to delivering integrated power and water services both in the UAE and internationally. The comprehensive rebranding effort will cover TAQA’s full utility value chain, which includes generation, transmission, distribution, water solutions, and energy services.
As part of this rebranding, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) will be consolidated under a single new brand, TAQA Distribution. This integration is designed to streamline TAQA's customer-facing operations, enhance service delivery, and create opportunities for expansion in the UAE and beyond. TAQA Distribution will play a critical role in TAQA's strategy to champion low-carbon power and water solutions, focusing on operational efficiency and maintaining world-class standards in distribution networks. The rebranding also aligns with TAQA’s goals to collaborate seamlessly with TAQA Transmission, TAQA Water Solutions, and TAQA Energy Services.

Additionally, TAQA's wholly-owned operating companies will undergo rebranding as follows:
This unified brand structure is expected to significantly enhance public awareness of TAQA’s extensive utility activities, supporting the company’s growth ambitions and reinforcing its status as a leading UAE national champion in the utility sector.
Jasim Husain Thabet, TAQA’s Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, emphasized that the rebranding is a strategic move to boost the visibility and understanding of TAQA’s extensive operations. He noted that the changes will bolster TAQA’s efforts to expand both domestically and internationally by making the full scope of its capabilities more apparent to prospective partners. Thabet highlighted TAQA’s commitment to playing a key role in the UAE’s drive towards net-zero emissions and the broader energy transition.
According to the Executive Officer, the merger of ADDC and AADC into TAQA Distribution will enhance the service provided to Abu Dhabi’s communities by combining the strengths and expertise of both entities. This consolidation is expected to create a more dynamic and innovative organization, better equipped to support TAQA’s mission and meet its high standards of service excellence.
Customers will begin to see the new TAQA Distribution branding on their electricity and water bills and at company branches starting January 2025. This rebranding will support TAQA’s focus on operational excellence, advanced technology, and strategic partnerships, aligning with the company’s long-term sustainability and ESG targets.
