The work will be done by Electro Mechanical Company LLC with advice from TVA Engineering. They will use new technology from Siemens to create a system called SCADA.

This system will connect over 2,000 small devices like sensors to monitor and control the entire network. It will connect 43 water treatment plants, 260 pumping stations, and over 13,000 kilometers of pipes. About 91 percent of the wastewater system will be connected to this new system.

The SCADA system will collect information from all parts of the network. It will let TAQA check places far away, find problems early, and fix them quickly.

This will save time and stop small problems from becoming big ones. The system will also help decide which parts of the system need repairs or upgrades to save money.

The new system will also find and stop problems like leaks, breakdowns, or overflows before they cause damage. It will help protect the environment by reducing pollution.

The system will cut the amount of carbon gases released by 13 percent, which is equal to about 6,500 tonnes every year. Maintenance costs will go down by 12 percent, and the company will save AED10 million every year by using less energy.

The new system will also have strong protection to keep it safe from hackers and online attacks.
Ahmed Al Shamsi, CEO of TAQA Water Solutions, said, “This new project will help us work smarter, save energy, and clean more wastewater. It shows that we care about the environment and want to make sure people have clean water in the future.”

Mohamed Abdul Aziz Rubayea Al Mehairi, Chairman of Electro-Mechanical Company, said, “This new system will make work easier for TAQA. It will save energy and help protect the environment. This project will show others how important teamwork is.”

Mohammed Khalifa, CEO of Siemens Digital Industries in the Middle East, said, “We are proud to work with TAQA and Electro-Mechanical Co. on this project. This new system will improve how water is cleaned and help protect the environment. Working together, we can solve big challenges related to water.”

This new project shows how much TAQA Water Solutions cares about improving its work and protecting the environment. The new system will make the future cleaner and safer for the people of Abu Dhabi and nearby areas.
