Swati Maliwal Condemns Assault What Happened Was Very Bad

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal addressed the alleged assault incident at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official residence, stressing the importance of focusing on national issues amidst an ongoing election. Maliwal expressed her gratitude for the support she received and urged against politicizing the incident, specifically requesting the BJP not to do so.

She provided her statement to the Delhi Police regarding the incident, emphasizing the severity of what occurred and hoping for appropriate action. Maliwal highlighted the challenging days she had endured and thanked those who supported her while also addressing those attempting character assassination, wishing them well.

Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), commended Maliwal for speaking out and emphasized the need to raise voices against perpetrators.

Regarding the incident, DCP (North) Manoj Kumar Meena confirmed receiving a PCR call reporting assault at the CM's official residence. The caller alleged assault by CM Kejriwal's Personal Secretary, Bibhav Kumar. However, no formal complaint was lodged by Maliwal.

The NCW took suo motu cognizance of the matter and summoned CM Kejriwal's Personal Secretary, Bibhav Kumar, to appear before the Commission.
