The Government Communication Talk Forum gathered members of the Government Communication Network in Sharjah. It gave government teams a chance to share their work, exchange ideas, and discuss the best ways to connect with the public. The new category gives government departments a chance to compete in the Sharjah Government Communication Award, which will be held during the 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum.
During the forum, Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Chairman of the Jury, gave a speech. He said the award pushes government groups to improve their communication and build better trust with people. He stressed that good communication helps public offices stay clear and open with citizens.
The "Distinguished Communication Imprint in Quality of Life" category will reward projects that make a clear, positive change in people’s daily lives. It aims to encourage creative communication efforts that promote public services, sustainability, and social well-being. The goal is to inspire government teams to use new and effective ways of reaching out to people.
The forum also explained how the award winners will be picked. The jury will look at creativity, public impact, clear messaging, and lasting results. They will focus on how well government projects use smart ideas, engage with people, and measure their success. The aim is to find projects that make a real and lasting difference.
Several government departments showcased their projects at the forum. The Department of Housing presented its plan to offer better and more sustainable housing. The Department of Agriculture and Livestock spoke about its efforts to improve food security through modern farming methods and public awareness. Bee’ah Group shared its eco-friendly projects, highlighting how they promote green practices using creative communication campaigns.
The forum also had panel discussions where experts shared ideas on the best ways to use modern technology and smart communication. They discussed using data and digital tools to improve public services. The talks also focused on creating clear and simple messages to build trust and strengthen the link between government and people.
On the sidelines of the forum, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed met with the Sharjah Government Communication Award Jury. They briefed him on the award’s history and future goals. The jury members shared suggestions on how to make the award better known and more trusted. They recommended improving the judging process, promoting knowledge sharing, and learning from past winners to inspire new entries.
The Sharjah Government Communication Award has helped promote better communication in government offices. It pushes them to use new technology and creative ideas to connect with the public. The award supports Sharjah’s bigger plan, the D33 agenda, which aims to double the size of the city’s economy in the next 10 years and make it one of the world’s top three global cities.
The forum ended with a call for government offices to adopt smarter and more effective ways of communicating. The event was attended by top officials, including Eng. Khalid Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Department of Housing; Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of Bee'ah Group; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council; and Aisha Rashid Deemas, Director General of the Sharjah Museums Authority, along with media professionals, senior officials, and members of the Government Communication Network.
