Dubai: On Tuesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, emphasized the UAE's ongoing commitment to strengthening its position as a global economic hub. Speaking during a meeting at his Majlis in Zabeel Palace, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the essential role of collaboration between the public and private sectors in establishing the UAE as a model of sustainable economic development across various sectors.
During the meeting, which included dignitaries, investors, businessmen, and senior government officials, Sheikh Mohammed credited the visionary leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE's success. He pointed out that Sheikh Mohamed’s proactive approach is focused on promoting human well-being, fostering innovation, nurturing creativity, and ensuring prosperity in a constantly evolving landscape.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of collective efforts from all segments of society to propel the UAE’s comprehensive development and maintain its leadership status across multiple fields. He remarked that a productive partnership between the public and private sectors is vital for sustaining progress, achieving common goals, and securing a prosperous future for coming generations.
He noted that this exemplary collaboration has enabled the UAE to achieve high rankings in global competitiveness indices. Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that these accomplishments align with the broader objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position Dubai among the world’s top three urban economies.
Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of continually enhancing Dubai’s business environment by improving competitiveness and transparency, which are critical to maintaining its status as a preferred destination for investors.
Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Dubai's commitment to being a distinctive model for a future-ready economy and a key global investment hub that significantly contributes to the digital economy. He underlined the importance of expanding the digital economy, embracing advanced technologies, and fortifying Dubai’s digital infrastructure to boost the international competitiveness of various local sectors.
Throughout the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed engaged with attendees on a wide array of topics concerning Dubai's developmental trajectory and the synergy between its public and private sectors.
Prominent figures at the meeting included Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports; Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council; and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, among other dignitaries, ministers, and directors of government departments in Dubai.
In addition to the discussions, Sheikh Mohammed attended a lecture presented by Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment. The lecture, titled “Plant the Emirates: Continuing the Legacy of Zayed,” focused on the national initiative ‘Plant the Emirates,’ launched by Sheikh Mohammed. This initiative honors the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who famously stated, “Give me agriculture, and I will guarantee you civilization.”
