OpenAI has started using its new AI model, GPT-4.5, for ChatGPT Pro users and developers. The company said that more people will get access in the coming weeks. This new model is better at finding patterns, thinking creatively, and making fewer mistakes than older versions.

Right now, only Pro users can use GPT-4.5, but next week, Plus and Team users will get it. After that, it will be given to Enterprise and Edu users. OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, said that GPT-4.5 is a very big and costly model. The company does not have enough GPUs to give it to everyone at once. He also said they will add more GPUs next week and that it is hard to guess how many people will use it at the same time.
One big improvement in GPT-4.5 is that it makes fewer mistakes. OpenAI said this model has a 37.1% mistake rate, which is lower than the 61.8% rate of GPT-4o and the 44% rate of another AI model. This means GPT-4.5 gives more correct answers.
GPT-4.5 can read files, look at pictures, and help with writing and coding. But it does not have voice or video features yet. OpenAI is working on getting more GPUs so more people can use the model without problems. Many see GPT-4.5 as an important step before the launch of GPT-5.
