New 1.5 Km bridge to link Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Harbour

In Dubai, a new two-lane bridge spanning 1,500 meters will soon link Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour, bolstering connectivity to the vibrant seafront district. The announcement was made by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA. The bridge, accommodating 6,000 vehicles per hour, extends from the fifth intersection on Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour Street, passing key intersections along the way. This project, which includes surface improvements at four intersections, aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce travel time from 12 minutes to just three.

The initiative follows an agreement between the RTA and investment firm Shamal Holding, facilitating direct entry/exit for Dubai Harbour. Upon completion, the bridge is expected to ensure smooth traffic flow to and from Dubai Harbour, a bustling hub offering diverse living, retail, and hospitality options, alongside attractions like Skydive Dubai.
