Saudi Arabia Hosts Syrian, Lebanese Defense Ministers' Meeting

Saudi Arabia hosted an important meeting in Jeddah on March 27, 2025, after the orders of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The meeting was held to talk about safety and peace between Syria and Lebanon.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Syrian Minister of Defense Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, and Lebanese Minister of Defense Major General Michel Menassa. They were joined by their security teams to discuss how to make the region safer.

During the meeting, all sides agreed on an important deal. This deal was about setting clear borders between Syria and Lebanon. It also planned to create special teams that would work on different problems and help both countries cooperate better. A big part of the deal was finding ways to stop security problems, especially those happening near the borders.

The countries also agreed to meet again in Saudi Arabia in the future to check their progress and talk about any new problems.

After the meeting, the Syrian and Lebanese defense ministers thanked Saudi Arabia for hosting the talks. They said they were happy with the results and appreciated Saudi Arabia’s efforts in helping both countries.

Saudi Arabia promised to keep supporting steps that bring safety and peace to Syria and Lebanon. The Kingdom also said it will always work to keep the region stable and secure.

This meeting was an important step to make security relations stronger between the three countries. It also showed that Saudi Arabia plays a big role in keeping peace in the Middle East.
