Dubai has taken another major step in strengthening its aviation sector. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has officially opened a new Painting & Grinding Center developed by Lufthansa Technik Middle East.
The new facility is designed to handle advanced component painting and grinding processes used in aircraft structural and composite repairs. It will help reduce repair time by enabling faster curing and drying, improving overall efficiency and turnaround time for airline customers.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by CEO Tahnoon Saif and Lufthansa Technik Middle East CEO Ziad Al Hazmi, along with senior officials from both organizations.
Tahnoon Saif said the new center is an important step in strengthening the aviation ecosystem at MBRAH. He added that Dubai continues to attract global aviation companies to build advanced facilities, supporting the growing demand for aviation services and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.
Ziad Al Hazmi highlighted that the facility will enhance operational capabilities in the region. He said the addition of advanced repair services will improve efficiency and provide faster, high-quality support to customers.
Lufthansa Technik Middle East offers specialized maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for modern aircraft. Based in Dubai, the company supports airlines with component repairs, structural services, spare parts supply, and logistics, backed by its global network.
MBRAH, located in Dubai South, serves as a key free-zone destination for global aviation companies, private jet operators, and maintenance providers. It also hosts training centers and aims to boost engineering and aviation services in line with Dubai’s vision of becoming a leading global aviation hub.
