Emirates Airlines Prohibits Pagers and Walkie-Talkies on All Flights

Emirates Airlines has updated its travel advisory to announce a complete ban on pagers and walkie-talkies for all flights to, from, and transiting through Dubai. This prohibition extends to both checked luggage and carry-on baggage. The advisory was posted on the airline's website on Friday evening.

The airline explicitly stated that passengers are not allowed to carry pagers or walkie-talkies, and any such devices found in hand or checked luggage will be confiscated by Dubai authorities. The advisory emphasized, “It is prohibited for all passengers traveling to, from, or through Dubai to carry pagers or walkie-talkies in either checked or carry-on luggage. Dubai Police will confiscate such devices found in passengers' hand or checked luggage.”

In addition to the equipment ban, Emirates Airlines also provided updates on flight services to and from several countries, including Jordan, Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon.

All Emirates flights to and from Iraq and Iran have been canceled and will remain so until Monday. Furthermore, transit passengers through Dubai whose final destinations are in either Iraq or Iran will not be permitted to travel until Tuesday. This decision reflects the airline’s commitment to maintaining safety and compliance with local regulations.

The measures come amid heightened security protocols, and Emirates Airlines is urging passengers to remain informed and prepared for potential changes to their travel plans.
