Abu Dhabi to host 2025 WeGO Executive Committee Meeting by Department of Municipalities

The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has successfully secured the bid to host the 2025 Executive Committee Meeting (EXCOM 2025) of the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organisation (WeGO). This significant achievement marks a historic milestone for Abu Dhabi, making it the first city in the Middle East to host this high-level annual event focused on smart and sustainable city initiatives.

During the event in Kazakhstan, a senior delegation from Abu Dhabi showcased the city’s significant strides in smart city advancements and engaged in critical discussions on sustainable urban development. The success in Almaty demonstrated Abu Dhabi's growing role as a leader in smart urban solutions and paved the way for it to host the next edition of the prestigious gathering.
